A story vase inspired by the magical beauty of Ty Canol, an ancient mossy forest here in West Wales.
Plants and animals that can be found in the woodland are illustrated in cobalt blue oxide.
The lower half of the pot was coated in a rough, sandy clay during the making process, this more textured surface can be seen through the glaze and echoes patches of dappled light on the leaf strewn forest floor.
Hand built in stoneware
Each Story Vase is a unique form and a unique design which I will not replicate unless a variation is specially requested. They are hand-built from stoneware clay and finished in a matte white glaze.
